Working on the New Novel

After attending LTUE a few weeks ago, I decided that I need to start a new story. Something that I’m really passionate about. Something cool and awesome. Something epic and fantastical. On my way home from the first night of the conference, I had several cool ideas that excited me, and they’ve been brewing in my mind ever since. I finally had enough to write down some specifics today. So I wrote about 350 words describing a new magic system I’ve developed. It’s kind of strange and a little creepy.

I hope your story continues to grow into something great! I didn’t attend LTUE. All my other writing friends did, but it was a bad week for me. Glad you had a great time!

I didn’t even consider that you might want to attend LTUE, Ms. Glamis! As far as I’m aware, you’re not really a fantasy or sci-fi writer. But there was a lot of interesting stuff for a writer of any genre, I suppose. There was a lot of cool stuff for non-writers, too. Maybe I’ll see you or your friends there next year.

Thanks, Ben. Yeah, when I have a schedule more fit for something like that I’ll definitely go!
